Welcome to Danzivo

Danzivo is a community for people who love social dancing. Our goal is to create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment where dancers, teachers, studios and event organisers can connect, learn and grow together.

By using Danzivo, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines.

Treat Everyone with Respect

Be courteous and respectful in all interactions. We encourage constructive conversations and welcome people of all experience levels, backgrounds and dance styles.

The following behaviour is not acceptable:

  • Harassment or bullying
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Offensive or abusive language
  • Personal attacks

Be Inclusive

Danzivo welcomes everyone. We do not tolerate discrimination based on:

  • Race or ethnicity
  • Nationality
  • Religion
  • Gender or gender identity
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability
  • Age

Help us create a community where everyone feels welcome.

Respect Personal Boundaries

Social dancing involves physical interaction, but consent always comes first.

Please:

  • Respect personal space
  • Accept "no" gracefully
  • Avoid unwanted physical contact
  • Communicate respectfully

Any form of harassment or inappropriate behaviour may result in account suspension.

Keep Your Profile Honest

Use accurate information when creating your profile.

Do not:

  • Impersonate another person
  • Create fake accounts
  • Misrepresent your experience or qualifications
  • Use misleading photos

Authentic profiles help build trust within the community.

Professional Standards

If you register as a teacher, studio or event organiser, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Honour your advertised services where reasonably possible
  • Keep your listings up to date
  • Communicate professionally
  • Treat customers fairly and respectfully

Misleading or fraudulent listings may be removed.

Create Accurate Event Listings

If you publish events, ensure they include accurate information, including:

  • Date and time
  • Venue
  • Dance style
  • Pricing (where applicable)
  • Contact details

Update your listing if details change.

Share Appropriate Content

Please keep content relevant to the social dance community.

Appropriate content includes:

  • Events
  • Classes
  • Festivals
  • Workshops
  • Dance photos and videos
  • Community news

Do not post:

  • Illegal content
  • Pornographic or explicit material
  • Violent or graphic content
  • Spam
  • Malware or phishing links
  • Unrelated commercial advertising

Protect Privacy

Respect the privacy of others.

Do not:

  • Share another person's personal information without permission
  • Publish private conversations
  • Upload images of others where you do not have the appropriate permission

Report Inappropriate Behaviour

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it through Danzivo. We review reports carefully and take appropriate action where necessary.

Enforcement

If these Community Guidelines are breached, Danzivo may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove content
  • Issue a warning
  • Suspend an account
  • Remove business listings
  • Permanently terminate an account
  • Report unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities where appropriate

The action taken will depend on the nature and seriousness of the breach.
